Most mobile marketing professional and consultants prefer to work from. Working from home has various challenges that can hamper your productivity and your bottom line. In today’s competitive world your aim is to make maximum money in minimum time. However distractions are inevitable when you work from home and can pull your income done. Should you then look for an office? I doubt if this will solve the problem. Here are some tips that can help you minimize distraction while boosting productivity and income.
1. Create an office. It doesn’t matter if it is the corner of your living room or your spare bedroom or basement. You need to have a place you call office. This sets you psychologically to do what is necessary when you get there. Over time your family members will also know that when you have gone to the ‘office’ you distaste disturbance.
2. Have working hours. You will find it especially challenging working from home when you have a family. How do you tell your three year old daughter who wants to play that you have an urgent deadline staring at you without hurting her feelings? You can overcome this by systematically letting all business associates and family members know that when you are at work it is work. If for instance your working hours are 9 to 3 pm, then these are the times when you handle business related phone calls, emails, and writing letters. Your family needs to know this and they should let you have you way. After all it means a lot to them in terms of the income you bring in.
3. Have a list of daily tasks. Having a list makes you focused and brings you closer to achieving your goals. You will find it unnecessary to start wandering around the house and concentrate on the tasks at hand. A list also makes you allocate your time optimally. And once a task is not accomplished in one day, then push it to the following day. This way you don’t forget easily.
4. Set deadlines. I cannot overemphasize this system of accountability. Have you ever noticed that when you have something that MUST be done somehow you get the time? Setting deadlines is crucial to time management. When you get a project, promise someone when it will be delivered and stick to your promise. It forces you to work to save your face. In the course of that you end up producing more.
5. Apply the law of sowing and reaping. Most people never realize that they will earn in exact proportion to their efforts. If you attend to twelve clients in a day because of your superb time management skills, then you will make more money than a person who attends to just two clients in the same period.
Finally…
Realize that when you choose to do one task you have inevitably rejected many other things you’d have done during this time. When you make up your mind to watch television, then you have said no to things like calling a client, writing an article or even coaching a client. The questions you need to ask your self all the time are: Is this the best use of my time? Is this activity bringing me closer to attaining my goals? Of course you need to have written goals that you refer to regularly. If you don’t have them just take a pen and paper and write down where you want to be say in five years.

Hello!
My name is Tony, and I am on the Yeptext webinar as I write this. I did not know that you were black! Great! Very proud. What part of Atlanta do you live in? I lived in Duluth for 8 years, off of Old Boles Farm Road(120). I miss Atlanta a great deal.
I admit to being quite confused by the webinar. Why Yeptext AND Mobihelpers? Shouldn’t they be one product? If you could explain to me how the products SHOULD work, I’d be most grateful. There are a number of mom and pop shops here in the Philadelphia/Delaware area that I think could benefit from this service. Thank you!
Be Blessed,
Tony Dorman
I share your confusion, Tony.
